Grip Of Darkness
The peepers may have gotten it right, the end is near!
Power blackout, phones and cars not working and the damage appears to be statewide. Oregon is in trouble and one small town is already divided by the locals who have lived there for generations and the newcomers and tourists now isolated in the town. Selfish personalities are also striving for control and trying to gain power in the chaos.
another wintry snow setting.
Not much of interest in this story. Too early for the death and destruction that normally comes after day three without power.
Great read
I liked how the main character was able to take care of herself and make her way out of the city, plus taking her friends dog which was left behind !
A good story
The only sad thing about this series, is that they are kind of short. Characters popping up everywhere. I just wished that the books didn't end so quickly.
Grip
Of Darkness: End of Days Book 2 I’m loving the new characters in this book. I’m excited to learn more about them. Can’t wait to read the next book.
the next step in an apocalypse
For a while I felt this book was slow but as I read it felt more like laying the groundwork for the end of days (no pun intended). The characters are starting to show their colours. The world as they know it is changing. And I bet mayhem is coming.
The nation goes dark. Technology fails. Help isn’t coming.
An EMP has destroyed the nation’s power grid.
When an EMP shuts down power worldwide, eighteen-year-old Charlie Drews immediately meets death in the way of her neighbor Mrs. Butler who succumbs to a lethal heart attack. Charlie and her grandma Ruby must batten down the hatches to get through the power down and the bitter wintry storm.
From Sam J Fires comes the brand-new End of Days series, a post-apocalyptic EMP survival thriller featuring flawed, complex characters and adrenaline-fueled action adventure. Perfect for fans of Ryan Schow, Grace Hamilton, Kyla Stone, and Jack Hunt.
Grip of Darkness is book 2 in this post-apocalyptic EMP survival thriller. If you enjoy tales of ordinary folk thrown into harrowing situations, you’ll love the End of Days series!
